Who is this program for?
Card & Games is open to all experience levels. Whether you are an experienced player, haven't played in years, or simply want to try something new, you are welcome to join in. It's a great choice for members looking for a relaxed social activity and an easy way to meet and connect with others. What to expect?
Expect a friendly and informal gathering with a variety of card and tabletop games. Games may change from week to week depending on participant interests and group size. You might enjoy a strategic challenge, cooperative game, or some light-hearted competition with fellow members. Unlike Bridge & Games, you don't need previous experience with a particular game to participate. Staff, volunteers, and fellow participants can help get games started and explain how to play where possible. What to bring?
Bring reading glasses, if needed, and a water bottle. No special equipment is required—just come ready to play, socialize, and have fun.Instructor Style
This is a self-directed social group rather than a formal instructional class. Staff and volunteers help facilitate games as needed, while participants enjoy playing and learning from one another in a friendly, informal setting.Accessibility notes:
All activities are seated, and the program is held in an accessible, barrier-free space. Participants should be able to handle cards, game pieces, or dice. Accommodations may be available upon request, and members requiring additional support are encouraged to contact the SASA office before attending.
